It is accepted that the so-called 'Woke' movement stands for idealism, intuition, romance, generosity, creativity, wisdom, and tolerance. Interesting. I suggest that all of these things sound good on the surface, however, they are essentially emotional responses to our environment and social condition.
The problem is that the spiritual nature of man is pretty much ignored. I would further suggest that the real 'Woke Movement' consists of those who have discovered God's presence and interaction with His creation. Truly 'Woke' individuals have learned that God lives, that God loves, and God liberates for all eternity those who seek Him out. Considering this broader look at 'Wokeness' and what it means for me, I am proud to call myself part of the 'Woke' generation. (Gary Laws, 'By His Stripes Blog')
